Oklahoma Native Plant Society Meeting

2019 marks the bicentennial of Thomas Nuttall’s 1819 expedition through the Arkansas Territory (eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas). Nuttall is responsible for the identification and naming of many native plants in Oklahoma. Jona Tucker, former Preserve Director at The Nature Conservancy, will present a fascinating description of that expedition and some of the native flora and animals that were documented. The Oklahoma Native Plant Society meets quarterly on the first Monday in March, May, and December, and on the second Monday of September at 6:00 pm.
